The name
Why “Mar de Vidrio”
Mar de Vidrio means “sea of glass”: a sea so calm it looks like glass, which is exactly what the bay in front of the studio looks like on a windless morning.
Who we are
Two partners, one vision
Raquel
Maker and founder
A fused-glass maker with more than 15 years of training and experience in the technique. She has also spent years leading technical and quality teams. That is where one of our basic rules comes from: if a piece isn't perfect, it doesn't leave.
Patricia
Co-founder
A trained teacher and a maker skilled in several crafts: glass, ceramics, block printing, screen printing… She is the person who makes you feel at home the moment you walk through the door.
