Fused glass · Pedreña, Cantabria
Mar de Vidrio
Fused glass, handmade on the edge of the bay. Come and make your own piece in an afternoon, even if you have never worked with glass.
Three layers of glass, fused into a single wave.
The craft
Layers of colour, fused into one piece
Fused glass is made by stacking: sheets of coloured glass are layered cold, then fired in the kiln until they become a single piece. Where the layers overlap, the colour deepens.

You design
You cut and arrange the glass the way you like. We teach you just enough for your piece to turn out beautifully first time.
- 02≈ 800 °C
We fire it
Your piece goes into the kiln at close to 800 °C and cools slowly over many hours. Every piece is checked by hand: nothing flawed ever leaves the studio.
- 03Protective packing
You take it home
Firing takes a few days, so we post it to you in protective packaging, or you collect it from the studio.

Nothing imperfect leaves the studio
Raquel spent twenty years leading technical and quality teams. The same judgement decides what leaves the kiln for your home: if a piece isn't perfect, it is discarded.
